Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026. This is a template policy - please have it reviewed by a solicitor before relying on it, so it accurately reflects how Beezi handles data and complies with Irish/EU GDPR requirements.
What we collect
When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number and delivery address so we can fulfil and ship your order. Payment card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure checkout page - we never see or store your full card number.
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address and message so we can reply to you.
How we use your data
- To process and deliver your order, and to contact you about it.
- To respond to enquiries sent via our contact form.
- To keep basic records required for accounting and tax purposes.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary information with Stripe (our payment processor) to take payment, and with our delivery provider to ship your order. Your IP address is also sent to ip-api.com, a geolocation service, purely to work out which country/city a visit came from (see Cookies & analytics below). We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry. Visit records (see below) are kept for internal reporting and are periodically cleared out.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, subject to our legal obligations (e.g. financial record-keeping). To do so, email info@beezi.ie.
Cookies & analytics
We use a session cookie to remember what's in your cart and to keep you securely signed in to our admin area. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies, and we don't use third-party analytics services (like Google Analytics).
To understand how many people visit our site, which pages are popular, and roughly where visitors come from, we keep our own first-party visit records: the page viewed, the referring website (if any), a general device/browser type, and your IP address together with the country/city it resolves to. The country/city lookup is done by sending your IP address to a third-party geolocation service (ip-api.com) - no other information is shared with them. Separately, for unique-visitor and conversion-rate totals only, we also compute a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address and browser combined with the current calendar day; that hash rotates daily and can't be reversed or used to follow you across days. This data is used on an internal admin dashboard to help us run and improve the shop, and is not sold or used for advertising.
